A strong but smooth clay which is able to cope with the demands of extreme temperature changes in the Raku process.

Unfired Characteristics: A very smooth body with a slightly open structure which provides character and strength.

Working Notes: A fire clay body with the addition of fine sand makes this clay both strong and versatile, allowing it to be used for Raku as well as for hand building, throwing and sculpting.

Fires to a warm buff at bisque turning slightly darker at glaze temperatures. In Raku, all unglazed clay will turn black.
