At Hot Clay we strive to be a sustainable company that respects our customers, the environment and our staff. We have always used recycled and recyclable packaging throughout the company and we feel that it is our responsibility to do better where we can.
From early 2018, we have reduced our use of non-recyclable packing plastics such as bubble wrap by 95% and increased our use of sustainable packaging. This means that your orders contain no unnecessary packaging but still arrive intact, environmentally friendly and just as exciting.
In 2022 we were over the moon to be given our B Corp certification. This means we are meeting the highest standard of enviromental impact.
We are constantly looking for ways in which we can reduce our environmental impact whilst continuing to meet your expectations; if there is anything you feel we should know, please contact us.
“At Hot Clay and Warm Glass UK we have challenged ourselves to reduce our use of plastic packaging to an absolute minimum. We have started by eliminating bubble wrap and unnecessary packaging from your orders and will be working through key challenges over the coming months.”

Our mission: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle:
Reduce: Since January 2018, we have reduced the amount of plastics used in packing our products for transit by 95%. The remaining plastics can either be reused or recycled.
Reuse: We reuse all the packaging we receive from our suppliers wherever we can. That's why you may occasionally see things like polystyrene in your order packaging.
Recycle: We make our own DIY recycled packaging using an industrial cardboard shredder. We collect waste cardboard from all the businesses around us and turn it into about 2 cubic metres of packaging every day.
