Cordierite Grog 16/30s

This is a cordierite grog that can be put into clay bodies and casting slips to reduce expansion, give engineering strength and protect against thermal shock.

The mesh size of #16/30 would give you a particle of 1.5mm and less.

Grog contains crystalline silica which if inhaled will cause long term lung damage, therefore we recommend the wearing of a P3 Mask. Keep working areas free of dust cleaning up with a damp sponge.

In keeping with our overall general advice, we also suggest wearing full PPE mask, safety glasses, gloves in a ventilated area.

It is a sensible precaution for children not to work with raw materials.
