The spring-tensioned design means you can hold the piece with one hand, freeing up the other (for example to pour glaze). Four metal points securely hold the piece being glazed, leaving only 4 small pinpoints in the glaze which are easily filled.

Hot Clay Tip: Gripping your pottery too tightly with tongs may cause the piece to break.
