This is a pre-mixed liquid glaze, the perfect consistency for brushing. Either brush on 2-3 coats, or if preferred the glaze can be watered down slightly for a dipping/pouring consistency. All samples in images have been fired to 950°c. However, there are a number of variables with Raku firing, so outcomes may differ.
The attached sample should only be used as a colour guide, as there are so many factors that affect the outcome of Raku fired pieces.
This glaze is lead-free and non-toxic. Raku fired pieces are not considered food safe. This is due to the fragility of the pieces as the clay will not have reached its full maturing temperature, as well as the possibility of bacteria growth in the cracks made during the Raku firing.
