Deep sea blues giving a semi-gloss finish with speckled surface. Spectrum Low Stone Brush-On glazes give the appearance of a stoneware finish, while maturing at Earthenware temperatures.
These glazes can be fired to Cone 06-04 (981°c-1077°c).
The colour sample shows the result of applying 3 coats of this glaze to white earthenware and firing to cone 5. The consistency of this glaze is perfect for brushing application. Thin slightly with water for dipping or pouring application.
This glaze is lead-free and dinnerware safe when fired correctly. In the unfired state this glaze contains copper and/or nickel oxide which exceeds the prescribed limits, so this glaze cannot be classified as non-toxic.
