Sibelco Spotted Throwing (WMSB)- Stoneware
A spotted buff body, smooth in texture. This clay is a dream to throw with.
Unfired characteristics: A smooth clay body with a plastic feel, very easy to throw with. A light buff colour out of the bag.
Working notes: Very popular among throwers, the buff clay holds and shapes well. The colour at bisque is a light apricot with a subtle hint of a speckle. The markings darken at the higher firing range to become more distinctive. This clay is very forgiving for both professionals and entry level throwers.
Please note: The spots/speckles within this clay can stick to the shelves when fired at higher temperatures. Flat bottomed wares should be stilted to protect shelves.
