Speedball Mid-Fire Glaze: Blackened Copper

Blackened Copper is a glossy metallic glaze that embodies a deep copper finish with rich black undertones throughout. Apply a few extra layers
to achieve bright shiny copper toned flashes!

Glazes are designed for firing between 1159°C-1243°C (cone 5 to cone 6).
For stoneware clay bodies.

1159°C-1207°C (cone 5).
Satin, black where thin with copper reds.

1185°C-1243°C (cone 6).
Glossy, copper reds with copper metallic flashes.

Recommended 3 heavy applications.

Other details: No slow cool, contains bone ash.

Speedball Mid-Fire Glazes are certified dinnerware safe when used according to manufacturer’s directions. Independent testing is
recommended when multiple colours are used on a singular piece and/or prior to introducing into commerce.

This glaze is considered by the manufacturer to be Dinnerware safe and has the ACMI Seal. However it must be remembered that in the UK, the emphasis in law is to the ‘maker’ who takes responsibility for the food/dinner safety of a glazed or unglazed ceramic ware.
