Rutile

Rutile contains natural crystals of titanium dioxide. It will also contain varying amounts of iron and other minerals. Use from 3 to 15% to create shades of light yellow in oxidisation, and in reduction, a warm white to buttery yellow.

It will also add variations to stoneware glazes at 2%. High amounts of rutile (5%+) in a glaze can increase the chances of surface imperfections.

Considered a nuisance dust; therefore, we recommend wearing an FFP3/P3 Mask. Keep working areas free of dust by cleaning up with a damp sponge.

Children should not work with raw materials.
