Grade 23 Insulation Bricks are resistant to 1260°C ideal for temporary raku kiln set ups as a base, internal props and burner support. Can be used as insulation for pit style firing when above ground. Other applications include bungs and kiln covers.

These bricks should not be used as a replacement for the repair of modern Nabertherm, Rohde or Kilncare kilns.
As a whole brick they present no H&S hazard, but if you should cut or shape a brick then wear goggles and a FFP3/P3 mask and filter as the dust can scratch eyes, and should not be breathed in.
