The much-requested beginners' kiln class is now available on selected dates.
If you have bought a kiln and you wish to know more about the controller, firing programs, cones and other topics, this tailor-made class lasting approximately 90 minutes will get you off to a flying start.
The class will be a live, interactive online session via Zoom. Each class will have a maximum of 5 participants.
You will need a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and microphone to join the online classroom. Full details about the class and our online class participation agreement will be emailed to you after you purchase a class.

I would definitely recommend this class to other potters and would love to see a glazing for beginners class, or how to mix own glazes!
Mike's teaching was very clear and the pace of the class was just right. Mike made me feel comfortable asking questions with the relaxed environment and I came away with more knowledge of venting the kiln, and have better understanding of the difference between heat work and temperature reached.
Mike was a really good teacher who spoke clearly and accurately throughout. I would definitely recommend this class to others and would like to see a class on glaze temps and times of firings for types of clay.
The class has helped me feel more confident in actually turning the kiln on and choosing a program. I really enjoyed Mike's enthusiasm, the structure was really good and answered all of the questions I had thought of before the class. I also liked being able to ask questions at the end of every segment and not have to remember everything till the end. Also being able to listen to Mike without any questions interrupting him.
