Product Information

Brush-on liquid glaze.

On lower parts pearl white it is, on higher parts it will be transparent.

Firing and Working Notes

Firing Range:

1186°C to 1222°C (Cone 5 to Cone 6).

Suitable for stoneware clay.

Working Notes:

The thickness of application will create the variations in colour and opacity.

This glaze is considered by the manufacturer to be Dinnerware safe, non-toxic and has the ACMI AP Seal. However it must be remembered that in the UK, the emphasis in law is to the ‘maker’ who takes responsibility for the food/dinner safety of a glazed or unglazed ceramic ware.

General Advice:

When handled sensibly, a 'brush-on' glaze presents no serious health issues, but to be safe, do not ingest the liquid and avoid contact with your skin and eyes.

A powder or dried brush-on glaze presents a hazard. It may contain crystalline silica and other materials, which, when inhaled, can cause long-term damage to the lungs or other health problems. We suggest when working with powders or when cleaning, wear an FFP3/P3 mask and filter and use a wet sponge.

Floating pearl

Worked on silbeco black clay without taking too much away from the black. Nice and subtle, but not too subtle

Great glaze

Beautiful runny glaze, Great for using with peacock technique with other glazes but lovely on its own.

Pretty, runny white

I like this glaze as it runs, softens and blends other glazes. Goes blue/white over darker clays. Keep it away from the bottom of ware though as it does run. Photos is two coats with drips of other glazes at the top on school buff.
