A smooth, richly pigmented bright blue slip ideal for pottery decoration, slip trailing, and sgraffito. Suitable for earthenware and stoneware, it fires beautifully from 1000°C to 1300°C with excellent coverage and a vibrant blue finish.

Apply slip to leather hard clay with a sponge, brush or slip trailer, then leave to thoroughly dry before firing. Different colours can be mixed to achieve a wide range of shades. After biscuit firing, a clear transparent glaze can be applied to the piece to enhance the colours.
This decorating slip retains its colour even when applied onto very dark clay, and the colour is consistent regardless of firing temperature.

The decorating slips are not a hazard when sold as a slop and fired within the guidelines. But when dried, the residual dust contains crystalline silica, which, when inhaled, can cause long-term lung damage; therefore, we recommend wearing an FFP3 mask in a ventilated area. Keep working areas free of dust by cleaning up with a damp sponge.
