Product Information

A popular Frit from ‘Ferro’, the frit works best at low temperatures, and it can almost work as a glaze by itself. Although it would need 10-20% clay added. Since the chemistry is high in CaO, it will affect browns and iron based colours.

Health & Safety

This material is considered a nuisance dust; therefore, we recommend the wearing of a FFP3/P3 mask and filter. Keep working areas free of dust by cleaning up with a damp sponge.

In keeping with our overall general advice, we suggest wearing full PPE when handling any of our raw materials. This includes a FFP3/P3 mask, safety glasses, and gloves. We also suggest working in a well-ventilated area.

It is a sensible precaution for children not to work with raw materials.
