Firing and Working Notes

Firing Range:

1222°C to 1260°C (Cone 6 to Cone 9 @60°C/hr).

Suitable for Stoneware clays.

Working Notes:

Be generous in application; however, this will mean there will be runs and dribbles, so protect your shelves with sacrificial dishes, batt wash and stilts. We would also suggest thicker applications at the top of the pot to allow unevenness of the glaze to run downward, showing surprising breaks of different colours. Due to the craquelle effect, we suggest not using them as food-bearing surfaces. Please read our food safety advice.

For advice and tips on using a brush-on glaze, read our Application with a Brush.

Health & Safety

Lead-free.

Refer to each SDS below for the individual hazards of each glaze.

General Advice:

When handled safely, a brush-on liquid glaze poses no risks, but avoid ingestion and contact with skin or eyes.

A powder or dried brush-on glaze presents a hazard as it may contain crystalline silica and other materials. When working with powders or when cleaning, wear an FFP3/P3 mask and filter and use a wet sponge.
