Scarva Decorating Slip: Mallard Green

Apply slip to leather-hard clay with a sponge, brush, or slip trailer, then leave to dry thoroughly before firing. After bisque firing, a clear transparent glaze can be applied to the piece to enhance the colour.

This decorating slip retains its colour even when applied onto very dark clay, and the colour is consistent regardless of firing temperature.

The decorating slips are not a hazard when sold as a liquid and fired within the guidelines. However, when dried, the residual dust contains crystalline silica. As a result, always wear an FFP3 mask and keep working areas free of dust by cleaning up with a damp sponge.
