It is made with high-quality materials such as a stainless steel shaft/mixing blades, so it is resistant to corrosion. It has more power than the 'E' models, having 0.55kW (3/4 hp) with a 75mm diameter extrusion; therefore, it can be used as a real workhorse in the productive studio or educational environment.
There are some safety features which make it popular with schools and colleges; for instance, it does not need continuous feeding with clay, simply loading the large hopper, closing the lid, and the pugmill will do the rest. This means you are not encountering moving parts. If the lid is lifted, it will automatically cut off, all designed to BSEN standard. The pugmill also has a thermal overload system which shuts down the motor if the appliance overheats.

*The warranty covers replacement parts which fail without fault or misuse by the user. Failed parts must be returned to Hot Clay before replacements are sent. Gladstone or Hot Clay will not pay shipping for the return of the failed part, but we will pay for the shipping of the replacement part.
