Epsom Salts will thicken, gel and suspend by electrostatically charging particles so that they attract each other more, hence flocculating. It will work best in slurries that have some clay content, but it will have some effect in others too.
Make a concentrate in hot water to the ratio of 30g to 100ml. Having made your concentrate, use a small amount, a teaspoon or less per litre of dipping glaze.
Keep the container sealed.
Can cause skin and eye irritation; wear gloves and safety glasses. Work in a well-ventilated area and keep working areas free of dust by cleaning up with a damp sponge. Do not eat or drink in your workspace.
Children should not work with raw materials.
