Sibelco Scandi Throwing Clay

Beautiful grey with a fine black speckle, easy to throw as it is smooth and plastic. Reminiscent of granite when fired. Trims beautifully.

Love this clay but would love to see what glazes work well with it

Sturdy enough to hold itself up but soft enough to be a very smooth throw. 10/10 throwing experience

This is my new favourite clay. I have thrown 50kgs of it now and glazed with a variety of glazes. It is a lovely clay to throw with though it doesn't like a lot of water. It does take slightly longer to dry than my white clay. It interacts very well with my glazes though it changes the colours somewhat (for the better in most cases). It can be lightly burnished to a beautiful smooth finish if leaving unglazed and the final unglazed colour of the clay is a lovely silver, grey. I am smitten!

Easy to throw with. I like how it turned out after bisque
