Orton Self Supporting Cone 1

Cone 1 temperatures are based on a kiln firing at 15°C, 60°C and 150°C degrees per hour when climbing at the last 100 degrees to the top (target) temperature.

• 15°C - 1109°C
• 60°C - 1137°C
• 150°C - 1154°C

These can be used in oxidisation (electric kilns) and in reduction with other fuelled kilns*.

*except between values of '010' to '3' as they contain iron oxide. Use iron-free ones for firings between this range.
