Vitraclay White Throwing Clay - High Fire (Stoneware)

This clay is premium in every way, from the super smooth body with a creamy feel, through to the excellent strength. We are confident that this clay will become your favourite throwing clay.

Unfired Characteristics: A white body, buttery smooth and highly ‘plastic’ from the bag. This beautiful clay is unsurpassed on the wheel where fine detail and extremely thin walls can be achieved with ease.

Working Notes: This is a premium quality white stoneware throwing body. A superbly smooth and silky clay which has an addition of a fine molochite to provide stiffness on the wheel and strength in the finished piece.

The white body fires to a brilliant white at bisque, maturing to a very strong and pleasing limestone colour at high temperatures.

• Ideal Bisque - 999°C
• Glaze Range - 1220°C to 1280°C
• Shrinkage - 14.5%

Available in either 1kg bags or 12.5kgs bags.
