Vitraclay Studio Throwing Clay - High Fire (Stoneware)

Designed for throwing, this superb clay is very plastic and forgiving when pulling thin, tall or wide pots. An excellent value stock clay for a busy studio.

Unfired Characteristics: Warm grey and smooth from the bag, the reliable consistency enables easy preparation and fast turnaround.

Working Notes: This throwing body has a high addition of ball clays, making it very workable and pliable. It also has a very fine washed sand so it has good engineering strength and therefore less prone to cracking. 

The bisque colour is a very pale buff, but when fired to glaze temperatures it becomes a light buff grey.
