This pre-mixed glaze gives a semi-gloss, speckled effect. Spectrum Low Stone Brush-On glazes give the appearance of a stoneware finish, while maturing at Earthenware temperatures.
These glazes can be fired to Cone 06-04 (981°c-1077°c).
The colour sample shows the result of applying 3 coats of this glaze to white earthenware and firing to cone 05. The consistency of this glaze is perfect for brushing application, and can be thinned slightly with water for dipping or pouring application. Firing range: Cone 06-04.
This glaze is lead-free and dinnerware safe when fired correctly. In its unfired state this glaze contains copper and/or nickel oxide which exceeds the prescribed limits, so it cannot be classified as non-toxic.
