This is a clear stoneware glaze that produces an exciting crackly effect when applied to most Cone 9-10 stoneware clays. This glaze is the perfect consistency for brushing, where 1 or 2 coats are needed, or if preferred the glaze can be watered down slightly to a consistency suitable for dipping or pouring.

The crackle pattern will emerge once the piece is removed from the kiln and has cooled down. A coloured dye may be rubbed into the surface once the piece is completely cooled, to enhance the appearance of the cracks if desired.
This glaze is lead-free and non-toxic. It is not dinnerware safe due to the possibility of bacteria growth in the cracks.
