The Bailey Pottery Wheel is fantastic for both entry-level potters, as well as those looking to progress. Sturdy construction with a blend of woods and metals. *The warranty covers replacement parts which fail without fault or misuse by the user. Failed parts must be returned to Hot Clay before replacements are sent. Brent or Hot Clay will not pay shipping for the return of the failed part, but we will pay for the shipping of the replacement part.
This applies only to goods sold within the UK. For other countries, the warranty only covers parts and not shipping.
I’m enjoying using my Gladstone Bailey wheel- just throwing small stuff at the moment but it’s very comfortable to sit at (with the seat). My 6 year old grandson has also tried it out and it’s a good size for both of us.
Great service from Hotclays - we visited the shop/warehouse a couple of times before buying and Mike and James were very helpful. Good communication re Delivery which was on time. The wheel has very well designed handles on each end so can be carried by 2 people fairly easily.

I bought the wheel with the seat option only. It is fitting perfectly for me. The wheel is very quiet and the control at the pedal is very accurate. Really enjoy to work with it. The big tray is perfect to keep the water in. I was a bit worried about the cleaning as I was used to take the tray off on my previous wheel. But it’s easy to clean like it is. Very happy with my purchase !
Purchased my Gladstone Bailey wheel just before Christmas, such a lovely quiet wheel, I bought the whole package, seat is extremely comfortable and the shelf is great so easy to have your tools at hand and personally I love the fact that there is plenty of room for your water and trimmings, so easy to clear up, keeping your mess in the tray and not on the floor. The price of the wheel was the cheapest that I could find. The delivery was excellent, on time and helpful, bringing it through my garden to my shed.
I found the reviews and You Tube video on the Hot Clay website very helpful. Phoned to clarify a few points, made the decision to buy the Bailey and 5 days later (including a weekend) it arrived first thing in the morning at our front door in the west highlands of Scotland, carriage courtesy of Hot Clay. A most impressive service! The wheel is very quiet and seems to perform well.
