We're delighted to announce that our European service is now available.
Please note: Due to a small technical issue, we are unable to accept orders over 30kg to the EU at this time. We're working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Common Questions
Will I need to pay VAT with Hot Clay? Our customers from the EU have always paid VAT on Hot Clay orders. However, from 1st January 2021, VAT will not be
charged by Hot Clay for customers who log in from EU countries. Your local VAT will be charged by the courier before the order is delivered.
Will I need to pay duty on my order? We're working closely with HMRC and have applied for 'UK Origin' classification for most of our product range. We're currently
awaiting certification for this, and we'll update you as soon as possible. If your order has any duty to be paid, this will be calculated alongside your VAT, and you'll be
notified by the courier when it's ready for online payment.
How will I place my order when European delivery is available? Place your order as normal and this will be exempt from UK VAT. This will happen automatically
at the checkout. When your order is on the way, the courier will notify you by text or email to make your local VAT payments and duty if required.
Your Hot Clay order will then be delivered.
